MICROBIO 570 Virology

Biology and Molecular biology of viral systems and viral disease processes. Emphasis on diversity of molecular mechanisms of viral replication; viral disease processes, treatment and prevention including polio virus, influenza, rabies, herpes viruses, and hepadna viruses. Prerequisite: background in cell biology, genetics, or biochemistry. This course is taught in Team Based Learning (TBL) format with weekly team assignments.
