AMB Students Get Glimpse of Animal Research

Mouse day for students in the AMB M.S. Program! After classroom work and online preparation a visiting lecturer gives one on one training to AMB students. Later they travel to Pioneer Valley Life Sciences Institute in Springfield to work with live mice. The experience gives them a glimpse into animal research and biotechnology.

Working hands on in the lab provides students the opportunity to experience what a career in biotechnology is like. Interested? The Microbiology Department is now accepting applications for the Applied Molecular Biotechnology (AMB) professional M.S. degree program. AMB is a one year program (2 semesters and one summer) specifically designed for students interested in careers in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. The deadline for applications for Fall 2018 enrollment is December 1, 2017.
